On the 12th and 13th of July it is going to celebrate in Chamonix, France, the second event of the World Cup 2008. This event enjoys great popularity because it is in a point where many alpinists and climbers are joined. The competition also is in the habit of being very numerous as for participants refers, and one of the favourites for the competitors.
Patxi Usobiaga, after reaching the 4º position in the first event in China, is in Austria preparing this following event. We remember that Chamonix has a very important value for Patxi, which was his springboard for the international circuit, obtaining his first sub championship of the world in 2003.
The World Cup already is in march and in march also there is Patxi that has given a great beginning to the Cup with this 4 º place, very quite close of the podium.
Though the competition has been nice it has ended with a mistake of representation of regulation and that has made wait for the final result, since in a beginning(principle) Jorg was in the third place finally was relegated to the eight when a claim appeared.

The next prove will be in Chamonix On July 12 and 13, and after this prove and after be confirming the cancellation of the sixth prove, it seems that the World Cup 2008 will be interesting and with a great sprint from the beginning up to the end without place to "dungs".
Mientras los competidores ya estan preparados en Xining, para que manana comience la copa del mundo 2008, la sexta prueba de la copa que iba a celebrarse en Taipei ha sido cancelada, hace no mas de dos dias. Con el resultado de que el 2008 solo contara con 6 pruebas. Y tambien, relacionado con esto, a principios de semana se daba a conocer la suspension del campeonato del mundo del 2009 que iba a celebrarse en Grindewall, y su nuevo emplazamiento sera Xining.
De aqui solo sacar un par de conclusiones:"Cuando parecia que la escalada iba dando pasos agigantados hacia adelante, en busca de los juegos olimpicos, parece que vuelve a haber un gran retroceso, menos pruebas, caidas de competiciones en el ultimo momento, pruebas en lugares perdidos e incognitos etc.. Todo por el senor llamado DINERO, habra que sentarse y buscar nuevos focos de organizacion, patrocnios privados para toda una copa del mundo etc..Yo creo que estamos a tiempo de intentarlo y olvidarnos de la utopia de los juegos olimpicos y centrarnos en la realidad, en una copa del mundo digna de calidad y con eventos espectaculares."
