After climbing some weeks around Europe and after getting the second place in Serre Chevalier. Patxi arrived home last Wednesday 30th of July. That day he climbed on sight ITURBURUKO JOSTARIA 8b+, the route was bolt by Iñaki Marco in the nearest cliff of Baltzola, Benta Txuri. And today has send also on sight Nuska 8c in Baltzola, this route has been bolt by Mikel Maeso. The first proposal about the grade was 8c+, but Patxi thinks that could be 8c. The other climbers thik that the route is 8c/+, so climbing is not a science, and the next climber could also decide about the grade.
This afternoon has finished the prestigious international master Serre Chevalier in France. On Friday had disputed the eliminatory where Patxi chained the route was day for the comfortably enough and without too many problems.
Once more Patxi has placed itself between the first ones of the classification being raised to the second step of the podium quite close of the Catalan climber Ramón Julián, that this year has won Serre.
The next appointment with the competitions will be in Italy, in another prestigious international master, the Arch Rock master. They will be on the 6th and 7th of September.
Today was the last day of climbing in Vercors, Pierrot Beach, just before leaving towards Serre Chevalier, where is going to celebrate the 25 and 26 of July one of the most important international climbing event that every year is celebrated. Patxi has done his last ascent on sight. The rout is Erresistance; the grade of the route is of 8b+/c, although Patxi does not think that it can arrive at it, but to 8b+ hard.
We remember that Serre Chevalier is a place where Patxi has done good results since it has won the Gallic edition in 2005 and 2006, and has been second in 2003, 2004 and 2007. Good luck for Patxi.
