Now, they are women climbing still after having started at 9am. In men, we have been more than seven hours waiting to climb two routes. Of course there are not 7 hours in isolation but waiting 7 hours or more to climbing is really stressing too, watching and also you know where is the place that you have to arrive to qualify, and many of the climbers looks nervous, me included (we know that we must do two tops).

It is only a trial, but I can’t imagine the 2009 world cup with on sight qualifications. First, it doesn’t work like in youths. Second, it is really hard for route setters And third, most of the climbers don’t like the system. 

Last week, quarterfinals were in two hours and a half. Today more than 7 hours. I think this is crazy, the quarterfinals, must be fast and funny, that changes like today, waiting hours for your 6 minutes of climbing. Definitely doesn’t work.Tomorrow the real world cup will start. And I hope that Ifsc delegate and Athletes commission will decide about this problem. I am in semi-final, and of course all the best, but sadly the coloneta team don’t  make their best, Diego and Felipe haven’t qualified for the next round.

But I can’t write only a critics, I think that the route setters have done a really good job. Ask them about the situation. The routes were really nice and good moves like in the second men route, just near to the top, with a nice Lapis Jacky sloper…funny.

And now, after writing this, I only think of relaxing. Tomorrow I will have to fight with everything I got.
